The Reduction of Sin

I find it interesting to note that the consequence of sin is often reduced to simply being an imperfection, a blemish on our nature which prevents us as those who are not God from being in harmony with him. The reduction of sin to moral imperfection is a common element in popular evangelicalism. This is what I hope to explore more fully in regards to its implications in evangelism, church discipline, and the churches approach to mental illness.
